BILL DUKE
Legendary director/actor Bill Duke’s prolific career has touched all aspects of the entertainment industry. Just a few of his noteworthy credits as a director of film and television include Falcon Crest, Fame, Hill Street Blues and Dallas, as well as Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit (1993) and Get Rich or Die Trying (2005). Duke can also be seen in front of the camera in both features and TV, including Predator (1987), Commando (1985), and the CW’s Black Lightning. Bill has been a member of the Legion M Advisory board since 2019.
MARVIN JONES III
Actor and rapper Marvin Jones (aka KRONDON) is known for his portrayal of “Tobias Whale” on the CW’s Black Lightning, as well as his other credits including Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse and Harry’s Law. We're thrilled to welcome Marvin to the Legion M Advisory board!
With over 500 films under their belts and 150 awards (including 2 oscars and 50 Emmy’s) the Wolper Organization is world-renowned for it’s incredible TV works like Roots and feature films like Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory (1971) and LA Confidential (1997).

Prolific 13 year writing career spans both features and TV. His credits include two classic films for Walt Disney Feature Animation, the Academy Award nominated The Princess and the Frog and Treasure Planet. He has also written projects for Showtime, Sony, Mofac, and Marvel Studios, consulted on Tangled, Wreck-It Ralph, and Frozen, and written/produced for iconic television shows including The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Full House, and In Living Color.

An engaged business and community leader who was named to Charleston Business Magazine’s "50 Most Influential" list. Considered to be an innovative thought leader on diversity and inclusion, African American history and social justice, Michael is an accomplished author and also the Founding President/CEO of the International African American Museum. Michael has given numerous lectures, inspiring thousands of people with the Robert Smalls story, making him the most notable and credible spokesperson for the family. His TEDx Talk “The Audacity of Robert Smalls” is a must watch.
